The Brussels Interdisciplinary Research centre on Migration and Minorities (BIRMM) invites postdoctoral candidates to apply for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF). This call is now open and will close on 13 September 2023. More information about this call can be found by clicking on this link.
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions fund excellent research and innovation and equip researchers at all stages of their career with new knowledge and skills, through mobility across borders and exposure to different sectors and disciplines. The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship also enhances the creative and innovative potential of researchers holding a Ph.D. and who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training, international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility. MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships will be open to excellent researchers of any nationality.
The scheme also encourages researchers to work on research and innovation projects in the non-academic sector and is open to researchers wishing to reintegrate in Europe, to those who are displaced by conflict, as well as to researchers with high potential who are seeking to restart their careers in research.
Fellowships will be provided to excellent researchers, undertaking international mobility either to or between EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries, as well as to non-associated Third Countries. Applications will be made jointly by the researcher and a beneficiary in the academic or non-academic sector.
The beneficiary receiving EU funding needs to recruit the researcher for the total period of the fellowship. The EU provides support for the recruited researcher in the form of:
- A living allowance
- A mobility allowance
- If applicable, family, long-term leave, and special needs allowances
In addition, funding is provided for:
- Research, training, and networking activities
- Management and indirect costs
The Brussels Interdisciplinary Research centre on Migration and Minorities (BIRMM) joins over 100 VUB researchers from multiple academic disciplines (including political science, law, sociology, criminology, geography, medical sciences, communication sciences,...) working on migration, minorities, and diversity-related topics.
