Biography
Kenza Amara Hammou is a PhD researcher at the VUB Department of Political Science. She has studied International Politics at the University of Gent. Her Master thesis has investigated gentrification in the slums of Rabat (Morocco). She has also worked for IOM (UN Migration agency) and followed an internship at the European Parliament, where she has mainly focussed on human rights cases and partnership agreements with African countries. Her PhD research explores disadvantaged groups feelings of being misrepresented and whether current models of integration and diversification are designed to fail and, if so, how to achieve a more accurate representation.
