Dr Hakki Demirkapu is a general practitioner and a tutor for GPs in training. He graduated from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) with a master’s degree in medicine and a complementary master’s degree in family medicine. In 2017, he started a PhD at the Department of Family Medicine and Chronic Care at VUB. He gives lectures concerning medical care for ethnic minorities. Actually, he is conducting research about advance care planning within ethnic minorites in Belgium and Netherlands.
