Between 2018 and 2020 Giacomo Orsini worked as the postdoctoral researcher of the Legal framework’s Impact on Migrant’s Agency (LIMA) project (website: https://www.limauclouvain.eu) at the Université Catholique de Louvain. My research concentrated on how the Belgian law concerned with family reunification impact on domestic violence for migrant women residing in Belgium. Since October 2020 he became the coordinator of the ERC funded ChildMove project (website: https://childmove.com) at the interdisciplinary Centre for the Social Study of Migration and Refugees of Gent University. Based on over 300 longitudinal interviews, we analyze the trajectories of unaccompanied refugee minors in Libya, Italy, Greece and Belgium and the impact on their psychological well-being. From September 2020 he is also in charge of the postgraduate module Race, Ethnicity and Diversity Politics which he teaches at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
