
Gerlinde Hollevoet
Biography
Gerlinde Hollevoet is a PhD Researcher at the End-of-Life Care Research Group at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and the Universiteit Gent (UGent). She obtained her master's degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the KU Leuven in 2016.
She works on the CONNECT project, where she is focusing on understanding how patterns of inequity interact with social connection for people confronted with serious illness, dying or bereavement. Her research is building on foundations of intersectionality and participatory action research, to understand intersections of different social locations and structural systems of power and oppression throughout the life course.
