Geertrui Serneels

Geertrui Serneels is director of the non-profit organisation Solentra, which specializes in war trauma therapy for refugees and migrants, and Ashoka fellow. Solentra vzw is linked to Paika (UZ Brussel), and provides trauma therapy with a strong focus on culturally sensitive and community based work. Geertrui Serneels is a clinical psychologist by training, specialised in ethnopsychiatry. She is also a trauma therapist and therapist in integrative child therapy. She also holds a law degree from KU Leuven and a specialisation degree in International affairs from John Hopkins University, SAIS.
