Biography
Flore Croux is doing a joint PhD at the Department of Educational Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and the Department of Special Needs Education of Ghent University. She is a member of the “PArticipation and Learning in Detention” (PALD) research group. Her PhD research focuses on the (in)formal participation of foreign national prisoners in prison. This PhD research is part of the FIP2-project (Foreigners’ Involvement and Participation in Prison) which is funded by the Research Foundation Flanders. Currently, she is also involved in a European Prisoners Active Citizenship-project and an evaluation study of the Dutch foundation ‘Education behind foreign bars’.
