About the speaker:
Evé Mayenga holds a PhD in political science and teaches the subject. Their work focuses on racial social relations and the "diversity" policies shaping cultural and intellectual production in France. Their dissertation, defended in 2025, analyzes public funding for "diversity"-oriented audiovisual works, as well as the stakes and mechanisms involved in combating racism within French cinema. Their research also examines how race, class, and gender relations structure the production of academic knowledge and the international circulation of ideas.
