Elisabeth (Els) Enhus

Els Enhus was full professor in Criminology at the Department of Criminology of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Since September 2018 she is professor Emeritus in Criminology. Els is involved in teaching “Criminological Encounters” and “Crime and the City” (Master Criminology and Master Urban Studies). In the past, she conducted research on the police, crime and offenders, fear of crime and prevention. Currently her research focuses on the relationship between the city, space and place and crime, fear of crime and prevention. The night is given specific attention as a time-space with its own practices, experiences, rules and attitudes.
