We are looking for an enthusiastic intern interested in providing research and administrative support on topics such as anti-racism and migration within BIRMM (Brussels Interdisciplinary Research centre on Migration and Minorities) & BSoG (Brussels School of Governance).
Function
-
You offer research assistance (scan of policy on combating racism, discrimination, and inequality in Flemish higher education, literature review, etc)

You provide administrative support for various research activities and education (IMISCOE summer school on anti-racist activism, book launch, ...)
Profile
-
Preferably you are studying MA/BA3 in a relevant subject (education, political science, European studies, sociology, gender and diversity, law, urban studies, communication sciences, psychology, pedagogy, economic sciences, criminology...)

You have an affinity with the themes of anti-racism, social justice, migration

You are interested in social scientific research

You are an administrative jack-of-all-trades and work very accurately

You are an organisational talent, work pro-actively and set the right priorities

You have good social and communication skills (speaking Dutch is an asset)

As part of your job, you can handle data and information with discretion

You have a flexible attitude, you can act in function of the team and jump in where necessary
