Billie Martiniello
Biography
Billie Martiniello is a PhD researcher in sociology at BRISPO, at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Her work focuses on understanding and tackling discrimination on the rental housing market, adopting a local-level approach. In this context, she focuses on the qualitative analysis of anti-discrimination policy on the one hand, and experiences of discrimination on the other. Additionally, she often uses field experiments to measure discrimination, leading her to analyse the diverse signals names can contain and how this impacts the measured discrimination.
