Omar N. Cham, originally from The Gambia, is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences and Solvay Business School. His PhD research will focus on the politics of return migration in The Gambia. He will seek to explore how cooperation on return migration (voluntary and involuntary) between The Gambia and major migration destinations (USA, EU and Individual EU Member states, UK) changed with transition to democracy as of 2017. Omar holds a Master’s Degree in Social Policy and Social Services from Istanbul University, a Master’s Degree in Management from the VUB, and a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Development Studies from the University of The Gambia.
