Júlia holds an LL.M in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights from the Geneva Academy. In Geneva, she worked as a legal researcher at the human rights NGO Alkarama and as an associate at the International Committee of the Red Cross. Before joining the VUB, she also worked as a legal advocate for asylum seekers and refugees at Asylum Access Thailand in Bangkok and as a legal assistant at the Refugee Advice and Casework Services in Sydney.
Júlia became a PhD candidate at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in October 2018. While developing her research on data protection in humanitarian action, she will contribute to the Brussels Privacy Hub’s Data Protection in Humanitarian Action project as well as to the Horizon 2020 Rebuild project.
